My name is Victoria and I am a certified nutrition consultant, wellness coach, personal trainer and group exercise instructor and this is my story.  

I think we all struggle with body image and self confidence at some point in our lives.  Some of us deal with it better then others and some of us are more effected by it others.  For me, it consumed my life for a long period of time.  It began when I was very young, just before adolescents, but it wasn't until I graduated from high school that I saw how much it impacted my ability to be a positive, optimistic and just an all-around productive human being. 

I think anybody who knew me would of looked at me and thought I was healthy, but deep down I was falling apart.  I started showing sign of PCOS.  I was depressed, like couldn't get out bed depressed, and was struggling in school.  No matter how little I ate or how much I exercised the weight stayed on.  I felt helpless, insecure and insignificant.  It affected me not only physically, but also socially, emotionally and spiritually. I felt cut off from friends and family; I felt exhausted and overwhelmed trying to figure out the best direction to go in.  What diet myths to believe and what exercises I should be doing for my body.  I was consumed with every little thing I was putting in my mouth, how much time I put in at the gym and all everything I wasn't doing "right". I was so focused on all the tiny details of my body and my diet I was missing the underlying cause.

When I hit rock bottom in my early twenties I knew I had to make a change.  It was that period when I realized that it was not what I was eating that made me feel insecure, it was why I was eating it that was making me insecure.  When I finally dealt with the root of my eating habits I was able to gain control of my diet and my life.  

My journey to health has taught me so much about the human body.   I turned my focus to whole food nutrition, full body nourishment, a little self-care and some deep reflection.  I don't have to worry about how much I go to gym or every little thing I put in my mouth.  I feel better than ever before with more energy and vibrancy.  I have maintained my weight through 4 pregnancies.  I have gained greater strength emotionally and physically.   I also discovered the direction I wanted to take my life, to guide others who are struggling with their health.  I want my clients to feel stronger and healthier, and know that they truly can have control of their of their own body and well-being.

I believe in taking an integrative approach to health, one that looks at diet as well as lifestyle, offers emotional support along with practical advise, scientific knowledge, spiritual growth and and a realistic approaches to exercise. I support my clients when they are scared and confused and facing frustration.  Clients who have been told they need to make lifestyle changes and do not know where to start, or who want to make some changes to their life and need a clear plan from a holistic health expert.
